Vision Direct South East Asia Pte Ltd (“AIDA: Eye Health”, “PractoPal”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform consisting of:

  • PractoPal Dashboard – a B2B software solution used by optical retailers and clinics for managing appointments, patient data, inventory, and operations.

  • AIDA: Eye Health App – a consumer-facing mobile app that allows patients and end users to interact with services provided by Clients (e.g., booking appointments, receiving notifications, accessing prescriptions, or engaging with referral networks).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard data across both components.

1. Definitions

  • Client – An optical retailer or clinic that subscribes to the PractoPal platform and provides the AIDA: Eye Health app to its users or customers.

  • Customer Data – Information entered into the platform by or on behalf of the Client, including patient records, appointment details, and transaction data.

  • End User – A patient or consumer who uses the AIDA: Eye Health app provided by a Client.

  • Data Controller – The Client, who determines the purpose and means of processing Customer Data.

  • Data Processor – PractoPal / AIDA: Eye Health, which processes Customer Data on behalf of the Client in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

  • Anonymized Data – Data that has been stripped of personally identifiable information such that it cannot be linked back to an individual.

2. Data We Collect

  • Client Account Data: Information collected from Clients and their authorized users (e.g., names, emails, business information).

  • Patient / End User Data: Health, vision, and contact information input by Clients into the PractoPal dashboard, or voluntarily shared by End Users through the AIDA: Eye Health app.

  • App Usage Data: Information collected when End Users interact with the AIDA: Eye Health app (e.g., booking activity, device information, cookies).

  • Other Data: Submissions via our websites or forms (e.g., inquiries, marketing sign-ups).

3. How We Use Data

We process data to:

  • Provide and operate the PractoPal dashboard and AIDA: Eye Health app.

  • Enable End Users to book appointments, redeem vouchers, and access eye health services.

  • Respond to inquiries from Clients or End Users.

  • Improve product features, usability, and security.

  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes above or as required by law.

4. How We Share Data

We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share data only when:

  • At the direction of the Client (Data Controller).

  • With authorized subprocessors that support our infrastructure (e.g., hosting, analytics, or payment providers).

  • When legally required (e.g., by court order, law enforcement, or regulators).

5. Security of Data

We use industry-standard safeguards, including:

  • AES-256 encryption for data at rest.

  • SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit.

  • Secure cloud storage with access controls.

We regularly audit our systems and partners for compliance.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Clients may request export of Customer Data within 30 days of termination.

  • All Customer Data is deleted from our systems within 60 days of termination unless retention is required by law.

  • End Users may request deletion of their personal data by contacting their provider (Client) or by emailing us directly.

7. User Rights

  • End Users (Patients): Please contact the relevant Client (your optical retailer or clinic) to exercise your data rights. PractoPal / AIDA: Eye Health will support the Client in handling such requests.

  • Clients: May exercise rights over account-level data by contacting us directly.

Our websites and apps may link to third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies separately.
